Dining
Disney World has over 200 dining locations across the resort โ quick service, table service, fine dining, character meals, the works. It can be completely overwhelming. But here's the truth: you don't need a reservation for most of them. What you DO need is a reservation for the select handful that book up completely, often within minutes of the reservation window opening.
I've helped families navigate Disney dining dozens of times, and I'm giving you my unfiltered list โ the must-books, the worth-its, and yes, a few that honestly don't live up to the hype.
โฆ Reminder: Disney resort guests can make dining reservations 60 days before their check-in date. Off-site guests get a 60-day window from each individual day of their trip. Set an alarm for 6:00am EST on your booking day โ the best tables go fast.
Dining inside the Beast's enchanted castle is a bucket-list Disney experience. The Grand Ballroom alone is worth the visit โ soaring ceilings, floating chandeliers, and enchanted snowfall outside the windows. Lunch and dinner here book up almost immediately on the 60-day mark. This is the one I tell every client to prioritize above all others.
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner inside Cinderella Castle with princess character meet-and-greets. For families with little ones who love princesses, this is pure magic and worth every penny. The views from inside the castle looking out over the park are stunning. Book the moment your 60-day window opens.
You take an "elevator" up to a space station 220 miles above Earth and dine with a panoramic view of our planet below. The theming is absolutely spectacular and unlike anything else on Disney property. The food is good but secondary to the experience. Worth booking for the wow factor alone.
Set inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Oga's Cantina is an immersive bar experience with themed cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and light bites. The atmosphere is incredible โ you feel like you've genuinely stepped into the Star Wars universe. Reservations are limited to 45 minutes per party, so it's a fun stop rather than a full meal. Star Wars fans, this is non-negotiable.
Breakfast here with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy all dressed in their artist best is one of the most charming character dining experiences on property. The rooftop views and the French Riviera theming make it feel special and unhurried. A hidden gem compared to the Magic Kingdom character meals.
You eat inside vintage cars parked in front of a drive-in movie screen playing old sci-fi B-movies. The theming is incredible and it's genuinely one of the most unique dining experiences anywhere. The food is good American diner fare โ nothing fancy, but the experience more than makes up for it.
I know this is controversial but I believe in being real with my clients: Cinderella's Royal Table is magical for the setting but the food is not nearly as impressive as the price tag suggests, and some families feel rushed. The Crystal Palace is a beloved classic but the buffet quality has declined in recent years. For both, I'd recommend only booking if the character experience is a top priority โ the food alone isn't worth the price.
โฆ Pro Tip: Can't get a reservation? Check the My Disney Experience app the morning of your visit โ cancellations happen constantly and same-day slots open up more often than you'd think. I've helped clients snag Be Our Guest same-day more than once!
When you book through me, I'm up at 6am on your 60-day mark grabbing the tables that matter most for your family. No alarm-setting required on your end.
